NYMT invests in the multifamily space using two primary methods:

Direct Investment: investing capital in multifamily preferred equity and mezzanine financing positions.
Multifamily CMBS: investing capital in subordinate tranches of multifamily mortgage-backed securities.

Preferred Operator Platform

NYMT is interested in partnering with its network of preferred operators to determine how best to handle troubled assets, which can include managing, acquiring, or selling the asset.
